HostMonster has been in the business of web hosting for a really long time, since 1996. This alone should speak volumes on their reliability. Some of the features they offer are unlimited webhosting space & traffic, hosting unlimited domains on one Account, 2,500 POP/Imap email accounts web hosting and support for SSH, SSL, CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL. A new feature they have added only recently is the site builder, though other web hosting providers have had it for a long time.
Setting up a website using HostMonster is relatively easy as they offer simple one-click installation scripts. Transferring a domain from another host or registering a new host is also easy, as is to be expected from a web host that has been around for a long time. One difference is that you can host unlimited domains in a single account. Other features offered include FTP accounts and Yahoo! and Google credits upon signing up.
Despite being in the web hosting business for a long time, HostMonster could improve on their customer support and their over sensitive policy on spyware. Sites get shutdown at the merest hint of spyware or malware. Though they may not be the best web host around, they are a great hosting provider
