Hair loss causes

Healthy looking hair is a reflection of a person’s good health. Having a head covered with hair boosts the self-image of the person and makes him confident. As age catches on hair also begins to shed. For some, hair loss starts early on in their twenties. Hair loss causes may be many and varied in nature. Disorder in the thyroid functioning, deficiency in iron, vitamins and minerals, hormonal imbalances in the body, diabetes, and few other illnesses contribute to hair loss causes. It is best to identify the hair loss causes at the earliest and begin required treatments for hair loss. Other hair loss causes that severely affect the condition of hair are skin infections as psoriasis, autoimmune diseases like lupus, tinea capitis, disorders such as unnecessary pulling of hair (trichotillomania), exposure to radiation/chemotherapy for cancer treatment and undue stress with lack of proper rest. Treatments for hair loss could either be natural herbal-based type or the conventional drug/topical lotions. During the year, people may have to endure seasonal hair loss over and above the normal shedding of hair. This is due to the cyclic pattern of hair growth that tends to grow more during summer (when they are in the anagen phase) while post-September, the hair follicles attain telogen phase (resting stage).
