Cognitive approaches

Cognition refers to the study of mental activity through internal thought process. It includes thinking, language processing, and reasoning, remembering and easy learning. Cognition is highly concerned the thought process of the human mind. It aims at finding out how a person is capable of store, retrieve and process information at the same moment. There are several cognitive approaches to learning and understanding things. Often cognitive approaches focus on concepts relating to information processing. A cognitive approach deals with the human thought process that includes memory and problem solving. However, such cognitive approaches are closely related to the behaviorist approach. In recent years cognitive approach works exceedingly well when compared to the behaviorist approach. Cognitive approach has gained popularity and it is considered to be a principal approach in contemporary psychology. At times cognitive approaches deal with the learning of an individual’s behavior and related aspects. Cognitive approach serves as a base for several psychological studies and finds out how the interaction takes place between a person and a computer. It is concerned with an individual’s ability to acquire knowledge and process information through human mental processing. It finds out how the behavioral pattern of human beings changes at different scenarios.
